New Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits in June, Eight songs revealed

A new Guitar Hero title named Guiar Hero: Greatest Hits will be hitting store shelves in June 2009, giving fans of the franchise some of the old hits from earlier Guitar Hero games. The tracks featured in the game were originally guitar-only in their respective titles, but the hard-working employees at Activision have added the full band to each track.

IGN interviewed Activision about the new title, revealing eight of the 48 Total Songs featured in the game:

  • “I Wanna Rock” — Twisted Sister
  • “Killer Queen” — Queen
  • “Barracuda” — Heart
  • “Killing in the Name” — Rage Against The Machine
  • “I Love Rock N Roll” — Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
  • “Nothin’ But A Good Time” — Poison
  • “Them Bones” — Alice in Chains
  • “Through the Fire and Flames” — Dragonforce

Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits will land in June 2009 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Wii. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be priced at $60, while the Wii and PS2 versions will cost $50.
