Microsoft getting the Community involved in E3 this year; Microsoft’s E3 2009 booth is HUGE

While listening to Major Nelson’s (Microsoft’s own Director of Programming for Xbox Live, Larry Hryb) podcast for today, Major Nelson announced some very interesting news.

Major Nelson stated:

“I can’t say much but I will say this; part of the Xbox Experience is Xbox Live, and part of Xbox Live is the community. The community will definitely play a role in this.”

In response to Major Nelson, “e” stated:

“We’re gonna try and get the community involved in E3 this year.”

So what is this “Community getting involved in E3”? Unveiled at E3 2008, Microsoft introduced its Xbox Live expansion named Xbox Live Primetime. Featured in Xbox Live Primetime was a game based off the hit TV game show 1 vs. 100. Will Microsoft invite the community to play 1 vs. 100 with them at their E3 press conference? Will we see new games that will be released for Primetime?

Also stated in Major Nelson’s Podcast, Major Nelson talked about Microsoft’s booth:

“I’ve seen that picture of our booth, its gonna be HUGE.”

So with Microsoft’s booth will be plentiful of games, and with the introduction of the fans participating in Microsoft’s E3 2009 press conference, it looks like we can certainly look forward to E3 this year.

  2. Stuff like this makes me want to believe E3 will be good this year. I sure hope so considering what happened last year. I’m interested in seeing what Microsoft means about the community being a part of it…

  3. Too bad they don’t have as many games to show off as Sony does! 😛

    Comment by Dion | March 16, 2009

  4. Oh look, a Sony fanboy (Dion) trolling the gaming media articles for the day. I guess that’s far more interesting than actually playing the PS3. No wonder this generation is going down the toilet, we have morons like this who take great pleasure in this type of behavior on PSN, XBL and game articles.

E3 used to be a great place, hopefully with Microsoft having a huge booth Nintendo and Sony will do the same.

  5. FanboyBasher – are you mentally retarded? Perhaps you should actually do some research on the gaming industry instead of trolling the forums. Dion is right – there are more PS3 exclusives lined up for 2009 then there are 360 exclusives – that is a FACT!

Stating the truth is not being a fanboy – are you so insecure you take every statement as a personal insult???

It is entirely possible that this little “Fiasco” is Microsoft’s desperation attempt to withdraw attention from the fact that they have virtually NO big exclusive releases to talk about at E3.

  6. lmao since when did sony actually sell more “AAA” exclusives than ms in this generation? hell they can’t even sell more units of multiplatform games than ms. That’s the FACT. but wait, there’s more. FACT: kz2 is still a shitty game no matter how much the devs “improved” everything in that game–improving on shit by making it look “good” still makes it a shitty game with improved gfx and nothing more. it’s supposed to be that piece o’shit console’s savior by being a “halo killer.” lmao yet it’s still only the 4th most desired game on that shitty system. i’ve never cared for any sony products coz it’s a pathetic company. i only use the best products and that brand is nowhere near my product list. i a ton more facts about how shitty that company is and that console but i have a lactating milf to bag. feel free to offer your rebuttal and go ahead and make up your own facts also; i don’t mind. lol

  7. They can’t sell more units of multi – platform games??? Explain Tomb Raider and Resident Evil 5 – moron. There’s a FACT for you.

FACT – Gears Of War 2 has some of the worst graphics this generation.

FACT – Microsoft wanted their shitty Halo game to outsell Gran Turismo – it didn’t even come close.

The fact that Killzone 2 is an amazing game and still only ranks no.4 on the PS3 proves the PS3 has more than just ONE good game, LOL.

Also, if you say you like the best products then you’d better steer clear of the Xbox 360, a console with a 33% failure rate isn’t considered “Quality”, LOL!

FACT – you need to brush up on your knowledge of the gaming industry…..as well as your grammar. How old are you? 11?

  9. Fact, this is an article about E3, not whose better. Who cares who thinks who is better anyway, what are you guys 11. The fact of the matter is while you idiots are arguing about who is better, money is being lost, both by the consumer and the producer on the account of you guys have nothing better to say than sales reports, why don’t you bitches that know oh so much we should all think like you start saying how to better the console of your choice instead of saying how much better your console is than the other guys, because the truth is every console has it’s advantages and disadvatages so theres that arguement I’ll save you all from carpultunal at an early age, because if you don’t like that responce go get yourself a tampon and check out TMZ and perezhilton.com –

    Now about this article —
E3 sucked last year, and I think it will also suck this year, although they will lead the nieve to believe it’s gonna be SWEET….and most of you people before me will believe them, idiots.

  10. LOL…..you call us 11 when you can’t even get the hang of proper spelling, grammar OR sentence structure??? Are your parents brother and sister?

Maybe you should spend less time typing up mindless, delusional rants on web forums and pay more attention in English class? Go take a walk and stop making an idiot out of yourself.
