Mass Effect 2 Box Art Stares Right Through You

The box art for BioWare’s upcoming sequel to Mass Effect has hit the curled up ball of interconnected wires we call the internet. The first thing to be seen is Shepard staring right at you, which is very, very intimidating. The “2” has bullet holes, and it appears that Shepard and cre have decided to go on a rather slanted rock climbing adventure.

And then of course there is the PC version, which does not stand out as much as the Xbox 360 version:

So where is the PlayStation 3 version? Oh that’s right, sorry PlayStation Nation.

PlayStation Home: Fat Princess Space

With tomorrows release of Fat Princess rapidly coming, why not hype Sony’s new downloadable game with some new screenshots of the PlayStation Home space? The space looks interesting, but does not look to offer much to do at all. However, there is a question system which looks like a little trivia quiz. Any prizes thrown in?

[ ?posts_id=2437218&dest=-1]

Fat Princess places the player on a team of up to 16 soldiers fighting for their beloved Princess whom is captured and being held by the opposing team in their castle. Of course, if this gameplay doesn’t sound appealing to the player, Fat Princess offers the standard team-deathmatch mode.

When playing Princess Mode, players have to rescue their teams captured Princess in their opponents castle. Cake is grown outside the castle, which players can pick up and force-feed the opposing Princess in order to make her heavier, resulting in a slower return to the rescuers castle.

PlayStation 3 owners can purchase Fat Princess on the PlayStation Network store for $14.99 this coming Thursday, July 30.

Players face off against huge beasts many times the size of the character, making use of a variety of different weapons. The gameplay alters depending on what type of weapon the player wields.”

New Gears of War 2: Dark Corners Screenshots

Epic Games, developer of Gears of War 1 & 2, has released some new screens of their upcoming DLC, Gears of War 2: Dark Corners.

Dark Corners adds seven multiplayer maps to GoW2 and there’s one screenshot of each below. The other two shots are from “Road to Ruin”, a “lost” chapter of the single-player campaign in which Marcus and Dom return to the Locust Hollow. An interesting aspect of “Road to Ruin” is that you have the option of playing stealthy instead of just running in and killing everything. “

Dark Corners will hit Xbox Live on July 28th for only 1200 Microsoft points, recently cut down from 1600 points. Don’t forget about the All Fronts Collection, another DLC pack, which includes all Gears of War 2 map packs with Dark Corners for only 1600 Microsoft Points. That’s a great deal for those of you who haven’t purchased any of the Gears of War 2 map packs yet.
